1. He followed his own advice in this case:
“Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion”
2. “Anti-Chinese Racism, from a 1928 diary entry:
[The Chinese] have neither the foresight or endurance to overrun any white country in any way except by intermarriage. One American marine could stand off a great many yellowmen without much effort.
A Chinaman can not live up to a thing, he always drags it down.
They smell of all the baths they didn’t take.
The trouble with China is, there are too many chinks here. “
3. On training black South Africans in the ways of Scientology:
“The South African native is probably the one impossible person to train in the entire world; he is probably impossible by any human standard.”
4. On Japanese people and their language:
“One of the reasons they [the Japanese] have bad eyesight is probably these microscopic characters [furigana] which have many lines and strokes to them.& We wonder why they went mad and bombed Pearl Harbor when they knew they couldn’t win. That [the Japanese language] would be a reason.”
5. On Arabs, from a 1958 lecture:
“He’s [the Arab] been going crazy steadily and gradually ever since he lost the early very fertile basins of the Middle East. He’s been going crazy ever since he failed to learn wheat farming and brought about the erosion of all of the fertile areas of the Middle East.
This race has been going for a very, very long time and has been eating death for a very long time and it is death.”
6. Apartheid Apologist:
“The problem of South Africa is different than the world thinks. There is no native problem. The native worker gets more than white workers do in England!
The South African government is not a police state. It’s easier on people than the United States government!”
7. On dealing with criticism:
“Never discuss Scientology with the critic. Just discuss his or her crimes, known and unknown.”
8. Threatening anyone who opposes Scientology:
“We are slowly and carefully teaching the unholy a lesson. It is as follows: We are not a law enforcement agency. BUT we will become interested in the crimes of people who seek to stop us. If you oppose scientology we promptly look up - and find and expose - your crimes. If you leave us alone we will leave you alone.
It’s very simple. Even a fool can grasp that.
And don’t underrate our ability to carry it out.”
9. Anti-Democratic:
“And I don’t see that popular measures, self-abnegation and democracy have done anything for Man but push him further into the mud. Currently, popularity endorses degraded novels, self-abnegation has filled the Southeast Asian jungles with stone idols and corpses, and democracy has given us inflation and income tax.”
10. Another look at his advice for life. Compare with number 1.
“Make money. Make more money. Make other people make money.”

The problem with you, Paul, is your tunnel vision. You get this year's Rita Skeeter award (the "journalist" in Harry Potter who reveled in doing to Harry what you keep trying to do to Scientology.)
No. This is not what L. Ron Hubbard is about. But your ascribing to Hubbard things he never said and taking other things out of context is pathetic.
For what LRH is really about, it's in his books. Of course you have to be able to actually read to get anything out of them, so you may not qualify, as your creative editing here so eloquently shows.
But for your visitors who are literate and are capable of smelling the coffee, they should get a copy of a Scientology or Dianetics book and all of your attempted calumny will fail.
Jenny, the problem with you and Scientology is you block out anything that is critical to your "religion". Maybe you could actually learn a thing or two if you actually read the critical material instead of just blowing it off as all lies.
Also, I let you post on my blogs. Why don't you or any Scientologist let anything critical get posted to their blogs?
You are on my blog advertising Dianetic books and I don't care. Why doesn't one of your blogs let me post on it? Why can't I talk about Xenu on just one pro Scientology blog? There is not one pro Scientology blog out there that practices freedom of speech.
Open you eyes Jenny.
l ron hubbard was a pill popping lunatic, who started a pyramid scheme and called it a church. i feel truly sorry for the lost souls that fall for scientology. anyway, it is on it's way out... they claim to have 8 mil. members , when in fact they have around 50,000. and younger people are too informed these days to fall for this cult. stop this criminal cult.
Okay, I don't really know much about the religion or the man who started it, I was just looking up some stuff because a friend recommended I read Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard and I didn't have a clue who he was. However, I have to say this guy seems to contradict himself an awful lot. Apparently, the religion or the Church of Scientology or whatever, charges fees for it's use? Or something along those lines? I understand there is some sort of request/demand for money upon becoming a memeber or remaining a "good" memeber? Well how can this man preach about making money and making other people make money as a doctrine of his religion, and then drain it out from the people who are making it? Unless the actual doctrine is to make money. make more money. make other people make money for the benefit of Hubbard? Also, no offense intended Jenny, but Harry Potter and "literate" people just do not usually fit into the same category and henceforth should not be in the same argument.
Any “religion” which restricts access to its materials, scriptures, ideas, history, writings, etc. is a cult.
I knew dianetics was a con but did not know how really bad scientology was until Leah Remini exposed this money bilking organization. Even more revealing and the death knell of this con is the marriage of Farrakan and Miscarrage.
DO NOT TALK like this scientology is a church or anything of spiritual value.
